Biedermeier Ash Mirror, c. 1820

Biedermeier ash mirror, the pediment, frieze and lower portion with book-matched veneers and ebonized moldings; the stiles with ebonized lozenges. Early, probably original mirror plate. Austria c. 1820

Overall dimensions: 31" x 17.5"
Glass:17.5" x 10.5"

Condition: Fine condition. Professionally restored
and polished in Vienna.

This elegant mirror, with its ebonized lozenges,
belonged to a prominent local architect who paired
it with the chair you see in the last photo (also
available). Notice the vertical lozenges in the mirror
answer the horizontal one in the chair. Wonderful!
